GARY DALINA

Gary is the Middlesex County Supervisor of Records Management for the Division of Archives & Records Management, Department of the Clerk to the Board.  In this role, he is responsible for the storage of and access to all County and some municipal records at the county archives and records center.

 

Gary became involved with CARMA shortly after starting at the Middlesex County  Records Center in 1993.  He became President of CARMA in 2005, after serving as Vice President since 2001.

 

Together with former founding member Joe Falca, Gary provided the minutes and agendas dating back to the formation of CARMA in 1988 for the website archives.

 

In addition to his involement with archives, records, and history, Gary is an avid baseball fan.

Dan is the Sussex County Records Manager and works for the Office of Records Management, Department of Central Services; which is a Division of IT.  Dan began working for Sussex County after eight years in the private sector.

 

In his role as Records Manager, Dan is involved with bringing an e-Government program to his county.  He and his team have implemented an enterprise Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), which is in use by each county department and some municipalities; and he manages an in-house imaging center.

 

After a number of years as a CARMA member, Dan began as Vice President in 2013.  He is a skilled wood-worker and wishes to share one of his creations that was born out of the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy.

Julia Telonidis is currently the Archives Coordinator for Monmouth County and has been in the position for a little over a year. In her prior position, she served as Archives Specialist at Rider University. Her main areas of interest are archives administration, collections processing, and the digitization of archival materials. She has extensive experience working in various types of archives and libraries including governmental, academic, special, public, and corporate. She has served as Curator of Manuscripts and Acting Library Director at The New Jersey Historical Society, as Senior Librarian at The New York Public Library, and has also worked as a consultant for the United Nations Archives.

Earlier in her career she worked as a Library Assistant at Monmouth University and at CBS News Reference Library as a Reference Assistant. She received an M.L.S. from Rutgers University and also has an M.A. in History.

JULIA TELONIDIS

CARMA's mission is to facilitate open discussions about information governance and provide resources to Records, Archives, and Information Managers, regarding the establishment, organization, and administration of a local government records management program.

 

The Organization's Objectives, which are outlined in the Bylaws, are:

  • To study, discuss and recommend improvements in county governmental records mangement and assist in establishing records management programs and departments at the county level throughout the State of New Jersey.

  • To exchange ideas and experiences, and to obtain expert advice and guidance on records management problems pertinent to county government.

  • To collect and distribute, to county records managers and others, information on the organization and administration of local government records management.

  • To work for the improvement of the laws and regulations relating to local government records management.

  • To strive for archives and records management competence and professionalism through education, training, and experience.

  • To achieve professional recognition of its members by their obtaining such professional designations as Certified Records Manager (CRM), and by active membership in ARMA International.

CARMA's MISSION:

Michele Everly is the Gloucester County Records Manger.  Records Management falls under the auspices of the County Clerk. Michele has worked for the County of Gloucester since June of 1989.  She has been the Records Manager and de facto Archivist since July of 2005.   Michele joined CARMA/NJ in 1998 and has served as the Secretary since 2006.

 

As the Records Manger and Archivist, it is her responsibility to ensure the integrity, preservation, and accessibility of all county public records.  This is done via four certified EDMS and the ongoing organization of both paper and electronic records throughout the county.    Further, Gloucester County Records Management’s vision is to continue to enhance and expand its dynamic records management program through defined policy, infrastructure upgrade, education, and joint municipal ventures, while remaining flexible and adaptable to future innovations and industry changes.

 

Michele attended Gloucester County College, Rowan College of New Jersey, and West Virginia University.  She holds an AA, BA, and MA in Applied Social Research, Sociology and Anthropology.  Michele spends most of her free time practicing Marital Arts with her family.  Currently, she is a second degree black belt (E Dan), and working towards her (Sam Dan), third degree black belt in Tang Soo Doo.
